Ren Ci Hospital
Ren Ci Hospital is one of the few charity healthcare institutions in Singapore to provide high quality and affordable medical, nursing and rehabilitative care services for the community, based on the principles of loving kindness and compassion. Ren Ci plays an integral role in supporting the healthcare needs of the elderly through adopting holistic way of delivering person-centred care.
Established in 1994 by Venerable Shi Ming Yi and a group of volunteers, Ren Ci began its journey in the voluntary welfare organisation (VWO) sector in Singapore by taking over a 174-bedded Chronic Sick Unit in then-Woodbridge Hospital.
Over the years, Ren Ci has evolved and expanded its services to meet the needs of a rapidly ageing population in Singapore, leverage on partnerships and engagement with the community to give dignity back to the elderly. Today, Ren Ci operates a community hospital, chronic sick unit, two nursing homes with Senior Care Centre co-sited (Ang Mo Kio & Bukit Batok St.52) and a day rehabilitation centre.
