Ren Ci Hospital
Established in 1994 by Venerable Shi Ming Yi and a group of volunteers, Ren Ci began its journey in the voluntary welfare organisation (VWO) sector in Singapore by taking over a 174-bedded Chronic Sick Unit in then-Woodbridge Hospital.
Over the years, Ren Ci has evolved and expanded its services to meet the needs of a rapidly ageing population in Singapore, leverage on partnerships and engagement with the community to give dignity back to the elderly. Today, Ren Ci operates a community hospital, chronic sick unit, two nursing homes with Senior Care Centre co-sited (Ang Mo Kio & Bukit Batok St.52) and a day rehabilitation centre.
Intended use of funds through the YFC 2018 programme
Every dollar raised will go a long way in enabling the elderly beneficiaries to continue receiving high-quality healthcare services and a hope for better living!
Engaging and involving the YFC participants
Today, Ren Ci is one of the biggest Intermediate and Long-Term Care (ILTC) service providers with a total of 964 beds in a community hospital and two nursing homes as well as running a day rehabilitation centre and two senior care centres. Ren Ci has recently started operating a new nursing home in the heartland of Ang Mo Kio and we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to tour the purpose-built nursing home.
