Description of Organization

Boys’ Town is a charity founded by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel in 1948. It first began as a residential care for war-torn orphans, imparting education and life skills to them. Over the years, Boys’ Town has expanded to provide a continuum of services catering to children and youth in-need. Its services now include residential care, fostering, respite care, youth outreach, adventure therapy and clinical intervention.

Boys’ Town serves both boys and girls, from infants to young adults. It helps children and youths who come from disadvantaged and disengaged families who may have faced hardship resulting from difficult home situations, financial struggles, abandonment, and abuse. Each year, Boys’ Town works with over 1,000 children and youths.

With over 70 years dedicated to the social mission, Boys’ Town equips the children and youth in need with the skills they need to become socially integrated, responsible and contributing members of society.

Intended use of funds through the YFC 2023 programme

Funds raised from the YFC 2022 programme will go towards supporting Boys’ Town’s programmes and operations.

Engaging and involving the YFC participants

YFC teams will be invited to Boys’ Town so that we can share with them about the work that we do as well as a tour of our facilities. We will also provide the necessary guidance, support and resources to help the students understand fundraising practices as well as follow through with their project.
