Boys’ Town is a charity started by the Brothers of St. Gabriel and provides residential care, street outreach, fostering, and community and school-based programmes for families, children, and youth-in-need. We help babies and youth who come from disadvantaged families and may have faced hardship due to various reasons such as financial struggles, family issues, emotional trauma, and abuse. Through our services and programmes, we equip them with the skills they need to become responsible and contributing members of society.
Our organization’s mission: To help children and youth-in-need become socially integrated, responsible and contributing members of society.
Our key programmes and services are:
• Group Home
• Therapeutic Group Home
Safe and Strong Family – Reunification (SSF-R)
Clinical Intervention Centre
Boys’ Town Adventure Centre
Intended use of funds through the YFC 2018 programme
On an annual basis, we helped and reached out to 500 children and youth. While some our programmes and services are partially funded, there are also some which are not funded at all. The funds raised will go to support our programmes and to offset some of our operational costs.
Engaging and involving the YFC participants
We will invite the team to our organisation and share with them what we do. We will engage them on a regular basis in terms of providing support and suggestions to these young volunteers on good fundraising practices.
