Over the past 15 years, the Citi-YMCA Youth For Causes Programme has had the privilege of empowering youths to benefit over 150 Voluntary Welfare Organizations (VWO). Thank you for serving!

What is a VWO?

According to the Ministry of Social and Family Development, a Voluntary Welfare Organization is defined as a non-profit organization that provides welfare services and/or services that benefit the community at large.

Requirement for VWO Participation

Each participating organization must have a valid Institute of Public Character (IPC) status, commitment to the programme and the approval of the YFC Secretariat. Should you wish to support an organization that is not on this list, please contact yfc@ymca.org.sg.

Guiding questions
  • What cause are you passionate about? Different VWOs meet different needs, such as Children, Youths, Elderly, Special Needs, Animals and Environment.
  • How can you align your proposal and project to their mission and objectives?
  • How will the VWO benefit from the public awareness and funds that you raised?
