When we rescue the child, we save the adult.

The Red Pencil (Singapore) founded and nurtured in Singapore in 2011, is a registered charity with Institute of Public Character (IPC) status and is a member of the National Council of Social Services. It is with the support received here that helps us grow and reach out to many more beneficiaries with arts therapy in both Singapore and our international humanitarian missions.
We are dedicated to the resilience and rebuilding of vulnerable children and families caught in overwhelming life circumstances for which they have no words.
Arts therapy is a unique form of counselling which combines psychological theories with arts (drawing, music and dance) and the creative process. It unlocks emotional expression by facilitating non verbal communication and involving the brain and body in ways that verbal language does not.
For vulnerable populations living traumatic experiences like severe illness, abuses, negligence and abandonment, conflicts, disaster crises, arts therapy helps to relief pain and sufferings, to develop resilience and self empowerment, for them to move towards a more hopeful, happier life.
