Description of Organization

Shan You is a non-profit social service organisation set up in 1995 to provide professional counselling and social care services based on the guiding values of compassion, mindfulness, morality and wisdom. Our services are available to all in the community, regardless of race, religion and ability to pay. Shan You is a registered charity with the status of Institutions of a Public Character. Shan You is a full member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS)
Shan You was restructured in October 2017 to better represent our social impact in the community. A new logo was also introduced. There are 3 service units under the parent organisation Shan You (formerly known as Shan You Counselling Centre) :

2) Shan You Wellness Community
3) Shan You Training & Development

Intended use of funds through the YFC 2023 programme

The funds raised from the programme will be used by the organisation for our Shan You Wellness Community to run the various social support activities for the elderly and the disadvantaged families and individuals.

Engaging and involving the YFC participants

We will hold an orientation and briefing for the YFC teams before they get into the project. 1 staff will be assigned to manage 1 – 2 teams and there will be regular meetings to ensure they are on the right track on their YFC endeavours.
