Club HEAL has been registered with the Registry of Societies on 13 February 2012 (Reg No.: T12SS0028K) by a group of like-minded individuals who have a strong passion in helping people with mental illness and their family members lead a fulfilling and stigma-free life.
We provide psycho-education and supportive counselling to persons with mental health issues and their families at our Mental Wellness Centres. We also provide outreach programs to them and the general public.
Mission: To assist and empower persons with mental health challenges to regain confidence in themselves and others in their journey towards community reintegration.
Vision: To eradicate the stigma surrounding persons with mental health issues thereby breaking unnecessary barriers to their recovery process.
Intended use of funds through the YFC 2019 programme
The funds will be used in various areas like
1) Rehabilitation programmes like art therapy and wellness – By creating new avenues for self-expression, art therapy provides benefits for people struggling with mental health challenges.
2) Our HEALing Space – A support group to assist women in recovery from drug addiction. Participation involves heartfelt sharing between members about their experiences and ways to live a meaningful life.
3) Block activities at East and North areas, this is to spread more mental health awareness.
Engaging and involving the YFC participants
There will be a few rounds of discussion with the YFC participants. From proposal stage to presentation stage to execute stage. Brainstorm together. Is not just a one way traffic but as a mentor to them and guide them what’s is like to be a fund raising person for NPO.
Showing them the centres and inviting them to attend our Healing Friends Training to have a clearer and better understanding about what does the organisation is doing and who they are raising funds for.
