Description of Organization
Vision
aLife views every child from the moment of conception as a precious gift to be cherished and enjoyed by all. aLife is a secular, non-profit voluntary welfare organisation. It is committed to educating, advising and supporting women and their families on issues related to the unborn child and the mother’s reproductive health.
Mission
aLife strives to provide a holistic support system for families and help underprivileged families through counselling, public education and child support.
Intended use of funds through the YFC 2023 programme
The funding will be used to cover the costs incurred:
a. The Caterpillar Club
Children enrichment programme for children aged 4-12 years old. Through the activities, the club hopes to achieve the following objectives:
• Instill good moral values and build resilience
• Enhance self esteem
• Build desirable social habits
• Equip children with necessary life skills
• Improve language ability
b. Shinning Star Programme
To help children staying in rental flats at Keat Hong to improve their reading skills and literacy.
Engaging and involving the YFC participants
They will be invited to organize one or two sessions of activities for the children so that they have the first hand experiences of interacting with them and have good ideas of their needs.
