Focus on the Family Singapore Ltd
Focus on the Family Singapore is dedicated to helping families thrive. We believe that the family is the foundation of the nation. As a local charity with Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status, we partner with likeminded individuals, organisations and schools to reach out to families with the message of hope. Our desire is to give broken families the opportunity to reconcile, empower young people to become champions for family, and marriages to stay strong through the challenges of life.
Our impactful programmes seek to strengthen families at various life stages, and cope with the transitions that life inevitably brings. They include workshops and activities for inmates and their family, newlyweds and parents of kids from birth to the teenage years.

Intended use of funds through the YFC 2018 programme
Funds raised will go to development of new initiatives, such as ParentEd, starting parent-centered and child-focused parent communities in identified organizations, starting with preschools, to ensure holistic development of children. Providing bite-sized, age specific, and right-on-time parenting education through intentional Parent-Coach Dialogues, parenting talks, parent-child workshops and online resources, and ongoing parent coaching by trained and trusted Family Coaches. ParentEd aims to help struggling parents gain practical skills to confidently raise his/her children, and equipping families with support for their parenting journey.
Funds raised will also support the continuation of our existing programmes, such as Date with Dad, Adventure with Dad and Family CARE (prisons) among others.
Engaging and involving the YFC participants
YFC teams will be invited to meet our team, where we will introduce our work and provide insight into the current challenges that families in Singapore are facing. We will also show them the impact of our programmes and share stories from our beneficiaries. Teams are encouraged to ask questions, and we would be more than happy to answer them. We will also invite them to observe our programmes or events when there are opportunities.
If Focus is selected as their partner VWO, we will provide ongoing coaching as they develop and conceptualise their project.
