Description of Organization

“NKF strives to be an advocate and integrator for kidney health and holistic care for the community, by the community. While supporting kidney failure patients with quality dialysis treatment and integrated care, its greater mission lies in preventing or delaying kidney failure through kidney health education, with deeper integration into the community and strategic collaborative partnerships.

Intended use of funds through the YFC 2023 programme

All donations received will be channelled to NKF General Fund, which will be used to provide subsidised dialysis treatment and holistic care for our patients.

Engaging and involving the YFC participants

Yes. They will be invited to NKF New Volunteers’ Orientation, where they will learn be empowered with knowledge about kidney failure and kidney health, and better understand the profile and experiences of kidney failure patients. The students also intend to befriend patients in NKF dialysis centres in the month of June – through that, they will gain first hand experiences and knowledge from the patients directly. We are happy to expose them to other programmes if they are willing to!
