Description of Organization

Established in 1976, SHINE Children and Youth Services is a registered charity and IPC member of the National Council of Social Service. We support kids, teens and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds through research-based Social Work and Educational Psychology programmes. Through targeted interventions, we empower at-risk children and youth, fostering essential life skills, nurturing connections, and promoting personal growth. As a recognised charity, we dedicate our efforts to shaping resilient young minds and bolstering their mental health and well-being. Serving around 6,000 students annually, we build resilience and offer hope for a brighter future. Additionally, through the development, promotion, and training of good practices, as well as research endeavours, we aim to equip professionals working with children and youth to become competent and confident practitioners who are committed to research-informed practices.

Intended use of funds through the YFC programme

Every donation goes directly toward initiatives like our programmes and services that maximise the potential of children and youth under our care. It also helps sustain our day-to-day operations and ensure that our programmes remain accessible. Furthermore, your generosity also contributes to upgrading our facilities. This includes modernising our spaces and ensuring they are equipped with everything needed to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment.
