St.John’s Home For Elderly Persons
|
Description of Organization
Established in December 1958, St. John’s Home for Elderly Persons is a Sheltered Home for elderly persons who are ambulant and aged above 60. We are a Registered Charity and an Institution of a Public Character (IPC).
Our Mission is to provide shelter and care to meet the physical and spiritual needs of elderly persons who have no home and no children or close relatives with adequate resources to care for them.
The Home is open to all regardless of race or creed.
Intended use of funds through the YFC programme
We aim to enhance the well-being and engagement of our residents by providing enjoyable activities that foster social interaction and happiness. These funds will help us organize a variety of entertainment options, including games, outings, and special events. Additionally, we plan to purchase gifts and rewards to encourage participation and make these experiences more memorable.
Engaging and involving the YFC participants
Our Home will conduct orientations to the YFC participants for a better understanding of our Home and elderly community to aid you in carrying out the fundraising initiatives. A representative from St John’s Home will provide guidance and support throughout the project implementation.
Additionally, students are welcome to engage with our elderly residents, fostering meaningful interactions and gaining deeper insight into their needs.
At the end of the project, we would be happy to provide acknowledgement letters or testimonials for the participants.
