Description of Organization
Calvary Community Care (C3) is a not-for-profit voluntary welfare organization registered in March 2010. Our mission is to serve the needy in the community regardless of race, age, gender or religion. Our vision is to be a respected charity serving the needy out of love for them relating to them holistically as individuals.

C3 partners with schools and organisations to help young children who struggle with English literacy. Our aim is to help these children, especially those from lower-income families, to eliminate the “guarantee of failure” that comes with a poor literacy foundation. C3 also partners with secondary schools to run the After School Engagement (ASE Programme) and other mentoring programmes. Through these programmes, we aim to build resilience in youths, especially those from the normal stream. We also provide counselling for youths struggling with mental health issues. Lastly, C3 engages with the seniors in Potong Pasir through our Befriending programme for socially isolated seniors as well as our Active Aging programme to keep seniors physically and socially active.

Intended use of funds through the YFC 2019 programme
1. To fund the expenses of our current programmes
2. Reserves for future youth or elderly centres that we aspire to have

Engaging and involving the YFC participants
We will invite them to our centre and give these students the opportunity to take part in the different programmes to help them have a better understanding of our beneficiaries and programmes. From there, the students can find a cause they are most passionate about to raise public awareness and funds for. We will guide the students in all possible ways and want them to have a meaningful experience with us.
